Janet has always loved drawing and painting. As a teenager she remembers that in her school holidays she sat in a field and drew the sheep. Janet chose art as one of her main subjects when she did her Teacher Training

 Janet loves nature and wildlife, which is her main inspiraton. She enjoys painting animals in pastels and gouache, and landscapes in watercolours and acrylics. She also likes mixed media and experimenting with techniques for interesting effects. Janet plans to do more pen and ink washes soon. There are so many possibilities with using different media - she finds it extremely exciting.
