Dorota Trajdos is a British–Polish self taught multidisciplinary artist, poet, and photographer whose work bridges creativity, psychology, and wellbeing. Based in Peterborough, she is qualified in Psychology, SEND and Mental Health. Her practice is deeply rooted in nature, mindfulness, and self-expression.
Her art spans painting, drawing, embroidery, poetry and photography. A rare practitioner of realistic thread painting- a highly detailed embroidery technique which she uses to create portraits and animals on canvas, often combining it with oil or acrylic paint. A member of the Peterborough Art Society and UK Embroiderers’ Guild. In 2025, her thread paintings were longlisted by the London Art Collective for the global open call ArtEVOL 2025 Voices from Undefined at the Saatchi Gallery.
Her work has been exhibited at the Made in Peterborough exhibitions (2023, 2024) at Peterborough Cathedral, regularly with the Peterborough Art Society at St John’s Church, and in London, at Boomer Gallery as part of the:
1. Vogued 1st edition exhibition (2025)
2. Dreams and Nightmares 7th edition (2025)
3. New Voices 1st edition ( 2025)
She's the author of The Mirror of the Soul, a love poetry collection reflecting on emotional depth and inner growth, available through Amazon and London’s historic Hatchards bookshop. In 2024 she founded Wild Art, a community project offering free outdoor mindfulness art workshops at The Green Backyard in Peterborough specifically focusing on people with SEND. As a registered professional with the Complementary Medical Association (CMA) she promotes mental well-being through creative engagement with art and nature.
Through her multidisciplinary practice, she aims to inspire others, showing that creativity is not only an art form but also a path to healing, mindfulness, and a deeper connection with the world around us.
